Full-Time Elementary Guidance Counselor

2015-2016 School Year

Applicants for this position will work to promote students’ personal, academic, 

and social growth in the educational setting; and develop students’ knowledge 

of the opportunities and requirements of his or her social environment.  Applicants 

must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, work well with elementary age 

students, and have good oral and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Implement, and evaluate a

comprehensive guidance program targeting identified student needs

- Assist students in understanding the school rules and developing self-discipline
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions

- Consult with parents, teachers, administrators and other relevant individuals to 

enhance the educational experience for students

- Lead 504 & I&RS meetings

Applicants must possess:
Required:  NJ School Counselor Standard Certificate
