Long Term Substitute – 2nd Grade Teacher

Seventh Avenue School

January 20, 2015 – May 29, 2015 

 

Applicant must be a dynamic educator with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices related to the development of literacy, writing and math skills. Educator will be responsible for planning and carrying out lessons on Literacy, Everyday Math, Science and Social Studies while using differentiated instruction and developmentally appropriate activities.  The applicant must be familiar with classroom management practices.  The applicant will also be responsible for completing all required tasks, such as report cards, updating classroom eBoards, inputting grades into the PowerSchool program, parent and guardian communication, participating in 2nd grade events, etc.  

 

Applicant must be able to work well independently and as part of a team. Candidate must be able to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to enable each student to reach his/her potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. High energy, enthusiasm and a strong love of children is required.

Full Time – Anticipated Elementary Reading Specialist Teacher

Starting January 5, 2015

 

Applicant must be a dynamic educator with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices related to the development of literacy and writing.  Educator will be responsible for planning and carrying out lessons on literacy and writing while using differentiated instruction and developmentally appropriate activities.  The applicant must be familiar with classroom management strategies, administering DIBELS, RTI, co-teaching practices, gifted and talented programs, Google documents, DRA, QRI and FRY’s lists.  The applicant will also be responsible for completing all required tasks, updating Eboards, assisting colleagues, inputting grades into the PowerSchool program, parent and guardian communication, participation in school events, etc.  

 

Applicant must be able to work well independently and as part of a team. Candidate must be able to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to enable each student to reach his/her potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. High energy, enthusiasm and a strong love of children is required.
